At IOV, our partnerships with companies and NGOs allow us to address various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adapting our projects to the specific needs of each partner. These collaborations are key to achieving a positive and sustainable impact in areas such as business growth, business diversification, employment, social inclusion and environmental conservation.

What are the Benefits for partners and volunteers?

How do PARTNERSHIPS work?

To establish a partnership with IOV, the following process or action plan has been defined:

The objective of this first stage is for the interested company's team and the IOV team to meet to identify the benefits of the partnership, what each party expects, the mechanisms for mutual support, and the commitments.

At this stage, the needs of the company/NGO should be defined: advertising, new clients, administrative support, etc. 

Once the commitments and objectives of the partnership have been identified, the company and IOV will formalize what has been discussed through written agreements, in which both parties voluntarily accept the conditions and put their resources into effect for the economic and institutional growth of the parties, as well as the benefits for professional volunteers.

Once the agreements are signed, the alliance will begin as planned in the first phase. The commitments will then be implemented.

IOV will handle the recruitment and selection of the candidate(s) who will undertake professional volunteering with the partner company or NGO, as well as provide support during the onboarding process. For its part, the company or NGO will offer all the necessary support to ensure that the volunteers can carry out their activities in accordance with IOV's standards and in line with their own interests.

After the agreed-upon time has elapsed, or at the request of either party, a period will be designated for the evaluation and review of commitments. The objective of this stage is to assess whether the commitments are being met, identify best practices and challenges in the implementation of the partnership, and ultimately propose changes or improvements to strengthen the partnership and increase the benefits for both the company and the IOV volunteer.

Which are the requirements?

  • Duration of the partnership: Minimum participation of three months, extendable by mutual agreement.
  • Time limit: A maximum of 15 hours per week to balance the organization's objectives with the volunteer's personal responsibilities. At IOV, we want to promote professional education without promoting practices that allow for labor exploitation and unpaid work. 
  • Core values: Mutual respect and tolerance are essential in all interactions.
  • Training and Development: We offer training in project-specific skills and intercultural competencies.
  • Continuous Monitoring and Support: We ensure constant support to enhance the role of each volunteer.
  • Impact and Evaluation: We continually evaluate and adapt our programs to maximize impact.
  • Economic Development: Seek individual and collective economic development without engaging in practices that may negatively affect third parties or the environment.
  • Law: Comply with local and international law.
  • Sustainability: Promote sustainable business and consumption, which allows the enjoyment of the resources of present generations, without compromising those of future generations.
  • IOV's Pillars: To share and practice the IOV values ​​and principles contained in its three pillars: Economic Development, Environment and Diversity.
  • Diversity: Reject any form of discrimination based on ethnicity, political orientation, gender, language, sexual preference, origin, economic status, etc.
  • Security: Condemn, prevent and report all forms of human trafficking, forced labor, prostitution and slavery.
